Being a Julep Maven means you receive three new nail polish releases in your mailbox every month for 20$, shipping included. You get to choose between 5 different sets each month, or you can skip any month at all if you don't like the choices... But let's face it, it's nail polish. I always like nail polish. :P
You can actually get your first box for just $0.01! That's what got me hooked... I thought, "Hey, 3 polishes for a penny! I'll just unsubscribe after." Which you totally can - if you've got more self-control than I do, anyway, haha. But after I got that first box with those lovely colours, I just knew I would remain a Maven.
You can get your first $0.01 Maven box by doing the following:
- Visit the Julep Store. (This is my referral link, thank you for using it!)
- Subscribe to the Maven program.
- Enter coupon code "PENNY" at checkout.
- You're done!
From the top, going down: Harper (a holographic small-to-medium-sized green glitter), Ivy (a glass-flecked duchrome which shifts from royal blue to a vibrant purple), and Vivien (a champagne-themed large beige glitter with fine silver dust).
Here is the box when you open it up for the first time.
Now here are the polishes on their own.
And with the cabochon ring!

I had been staring at my empty mailbox for days now, endless hours of longing for sparkles and merry polishes. My valiant postman stalking proved fruitless. My constant pacing amounted to nothing. I was beginning to lose faith.
And that's when it happened.
I was at work when I got a text from my boyfriend. "Looks like you've got mail," he said. That was enough. "Oh. My. God. NERL PERLERSH?!?", said I. The ride home was a very long one! I'm so glad I'm a Maven if only for the monthly excitement and joy of these little hand-wrapped packages!
I so wish this shipped to the UK, these boxes looks so amazing!
ReplyDeleteAre you sure they don't? That sucks :(
DeleteThey really are amazing. I mean, it's really easy for me to just go to the drugstore and buy a million polishes I barely remember I got the next day. This box isn't SO costly, I mean 20$ in my month isn't a hole in my budget. But it's such a big production... First, they send you an e-mail with the new collection and different boxes you can get, then you have a few days to choose... Then, just buying the monthly box usually earns you enough reward points to get a free add-on every couple of months... So you get to choose that, too. And then then add-on comes in a separate box, so you have at least one awesome package to stomp around waiting for! It's just a super fun process for anyone who loooves surprises like I do!
I saw you that you posted these on MUA and I cam running to your blog. I'm a new follower now. These polishes look amazing!! I want to try julep but I don't want to keep getting them every month.
ReplyDeleteI'm rmcandleight on MUA :)
Oh cool, hey, awesome to see you on here! :) Yeah I just discovered the MUA boards, such a cool place and everyone shares such beautiful pics!
DeleteIf you have enough self-control to cancel your subscription after the first month, you could just order the first box with that "PENNY" coupon code and it'll cost you $0.01, which is close enough to free. It's really true, you can just cancel after. But then you run the risk of becoming addicted like meee! Muahahaha! ;)
